Partnership

Dr. Shannon Kafer and Dr. Kaleigh Robinson met while working as associates at the same emergency veterinary hospital. They both had previously worked their way up through the industry from kennel assistants to doctors, with Dr. Kafer even making a detour to get her RVT license. Therefore, they both have the utmost respect for every position in the hospital. They loved their floor teams but were very disappointed when their management seemed to be disconnected from the day to day struggles of the staff. They were also disappointed with restrictions on hair color and visible tattoos/piercings in today’s more inclusive world. Eventually, Dr. Kafer and Dr. Robinson were convinced they must open a private practice to really accomplish what they wanted in their working environment.

New Beginnings

EVE Pet Hospital is the dream come true of Dr. Kafer and Dr. Robinson have been pursuing since 2021. They wholeheartedly believe that people who feel taken care of and respected will take pride in their work, ensuring that the pets treated here receive excellent and compassionate care.

Being a privately owned practice, EVE can focus on patient care and staff well-being because it has no corporate quotas to meet and no demands from board members who have never stepped on the hospital floor.

  • EVE is not a general practice, therefore local primary care veterinarians can have confidence
that their patients have somewhere to go when the primary is closed, but their clients will always
    come back to them.

  • EVE is also not a specialty center, so it can stay the affordable option when a pet needs that
immediate care but does not necessarily need a specialist.

  • EVE provides relief from long wait times when the specialty centers are overflowing with cases
but also plans to partner and refer to specialists when a pet really does need that expertise.

We have no grand plans of expansion or selling at the highest price to corporations. Dr. Kafer and Dr. Robinson want to make this their "forever home"; so they just want it to be the best possible place to work in the industry and maintain exceptional quality of care for the local community of fur babies.
