Dr. Kafer is a California native who graduated from veterinary school and moved to Arizona to complete an emergency-focused rotating internship. She fell in love with the desert heat and decided to make Arizona her permanent home. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Kafer worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician in various emergency hospitals while completing her education.
Throughout veterinary school, she remained focused on pursuing a career exclusively in emergency medicine. She loves all things emergency medicine but especially loves soft tissue surgery and thrives in a fast-paced environment. When Dr. Kafer is not at work she can be found hanging out with her family and 3 rescue dogs. She loves cooking, true crime, horror movies, crafting, and thrifting.
